Scouts invite public to Relight the Tradition

The Delphos community is invited to "Relight the Tradition" of observing Christmas Eve by displaying luminaries. Boy Scout Troop 65 is sponsoring the Delphos Community Christmas Luminary Campaign this holiday season with the help of the Delphos Area Chamber of Commerce. Boy Scout Andy, luminary chairman Lorraine Wieging, left, and chamber executive director Diane Sterling show the luminary candles and a kit. Candles and kits are now available at the chamber office 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday and 9 a.m. to noon Saturday. The kits consist of a plastic milk jug, gravel and a 15-hour votive candle for 75 cents. Candles are 50 cents and kits can be delivered. Proceeds benefit the Boy Scouts. All luminaries should be set out on Christmas Eve. For more information, contact Bob Wieging at 419-695-8300.
